Jeff Newby Bio

Coach Newby wrestled in his youth in the great wrestling state of Iowa. He moved to Utah prior to his high school eligibility. He wrestled at Box Elder High School where Coach Newby was a 4-Time Utah State Champion and 2-Time High School All-American.

After high school, Coach Newby chose to wrestle at Boise State University and after an LDS Mission transfered to Utah Valley University. Coach Newby was a varsity starter all four years of his college eligibility.

Currently Coach Newby works as the Executive Director of USA Wrestling Utah.

Coach Newby joined Mettle Wrestling last year when he headed up Gold Mettle Wrestling and help develop high school and jr. high age wrestlers. Jeff helped two Mettle Wrestlers qualify for the Schoolboy National Team last year.
